Inspired by performance and precision, the Evaya range of external venetian blinds has been developed for architectural façades where light, privacy, thermal comfort and visual connection must be carefully balanced. Available with side track or guide wire systems, Evaya integrates refined solar control with a clean contemporary expression suited to high-end residential and boutique commercial projects.
Blade Options
The collection offers two distinctive blade profiles: the traditional curved EV80 blade and the specialised geometric EV93D blade. Each profile is designed to modulate daylight, reduce glare and provide privacy with the ev93D being adapted to offer room-darkening performance. The blades are made from a reinforced copper free aluminium alloy to provide added strength and flexibility then finished in the Mecoprotect® coating process which offers a self-cleaning effect. Available in a range of well curated contemporary colours.
Performance and Application
Designed for large windows and broad expanses of glazing, Evaya provides precise, incremental blade pitch control to manage solar gain, glare, heat and privacy throughout the day. The system can be raised, lowered to preserve open views while responding to changing light conditions. The systems provide effective shading across extensive glass elevations while contributing to a considered architectural façade. Their adjustable design supports passive environmental control, allowing warmth and natural light to enter when desired without compromising privacy, comfort or outlook.
Side Channel Application
Both the EV93D and EV80 blades are available with side channel installations. Choose for a range of side track applications, from simple surface or recess fixing channels to stand-off systems and integrated into full window shrouds. The side channel guide options provides a robust architectural solution to suit the building design theme. The Zamac side pins stabilise the slats within the channel system to enhancing performance and maintaining alignment across the façade. Side pins are purpose-designed and pre-treated for corrosion protection, they are machine riveted to the slat and designed to engage cleanly within the extruded aluminium side guide. An integrated keder insert reduces friction, resistance and resonance, contributing to smooth operation and a quieter, more refined user experience.

Guide Wire Application
Only the EV80 blades are available in guide wires. Guide wire systems offer a restrained fixing solution where visual lightness is a priority. High-quality 316 marine-grade stainless steel wire, protected by a UV-stable PVC sheath, anchors the blind while minimising visual obstruction and preventing interference with the slat surface. A refined attachment system secures the wire to the headrail, with a selection of anchoring and termination options available to suit project requirements.
External venetian blinds are one of the most effective passive design strategies available. By managing solar radiation before it reaches the glass. Evaya systems lower the effective Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of a facade from 0.87 down to as low as 0.13. This dramatic reduction in thermal load can improve a NatHERS rating by up to one full star.

Evaya External Venetian blinds offer a wide range of installation methods for both side track and side guide wire External Venetian blinds. Side tracks are available for recessed, stand-off or complete window shroud configurations and all Evaya proprietary extrusions. External Venetian Blinds can be recessed into ceiling or bulkhead cavity or available with various pelmet sizes for other fixing methods. Drawing files are available to help assist in planning and detailing.
Evaya external blinds improve building energy ratings by stopping solar heat before it hits glass, blocking over 85% of heat and creating an insulating air pocket. They reduce cooling loads in summer and allow passive solar heating in winter. The blades can be adjusted is minor increments to achieve the ideal setting for shading and still allow day light to illuminate the room without relying on internal lighting and reducing the reliance on air conditioning.
The EV80 offers an 80mm curved blade that can be tilted back to 160 degrees and a maximum width of 5400mm. They are available as both guide wire and side track installation options. The EV93D has a distinctive angular profile and incorporates a noise suppression keder slat edge along with a Hagofix slat support. This unique angular profile assists in room darkening. The EV93D will span up to 4400mm widths and comes with side track installation options.
Evaya External Venetian blades offer incremental control of the blade angle and can be back tilted to give a 160 degree range of operation depending on the model. This lets you filter natural light and block outside views inward without losing your own view.
The side guide channels provide the blades with increased stability and noise reduction and ideal for windy locations. In addition wind sensors can be included in the scope of work, which will constantly monitor the wind speed and when a pre-set threshold is reached it will signal the blind motor to retract. For wider spanning External Venetian blinds intermediate wire guides can be incorporated which help to reduce lateral movement from wind pressure.
