Create a series wide operable roof bays that both complements the angular nature of the this luxury residential coastal home and maximises the winter sun to the north facing balcony. The overall design brief to maintain clean lines and minimal fixings. The brief suited the 200 Super Lite Louvretec roof with its Spiral Pivot drive system. While all components are aluminium the fixings are all 316 stainless steel with the drives, gears and motors are all concealed within the system ideal for this coastal application. The downpipes were also concealed and designed to be integrated within the aluminium columns. Due to the acute angles of the bays some louvres needed to be non-operable fixed louvres.
